During the consultation process, which normally takes place just prior to the procedure, we will discuss your desired outcome and I will provide advice. We use various mapping techniques to ensure symmetry and cohesiveness, and the colour is cutomised according to your skin type and hair colour.

Prior to the procedure, we ensure your comfort with the application of anesthetic cream, guaranteeing a relaxed experience throughout. Your brows or lips will then be meticulously drawn on with various mapping techniques to ensure we create something bespoke to your requirements.

We will then start gently implanting the pigment using a device, with a sweeping motion to gradually build up the colour to your desired outcome. We pride ourselves on the most natural looking brows, working in a way that means when you come back for your touch-up appointment, you will be ready to add a little more pigment for definition.

Your brows or lips will never be more bold than what you've requested them to be!

Please ensure you are well hydrated and have been avoiding excessive sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, nurofen or anti-inflammatories 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Wash your hair prior as you'll need to keep the tattoo dry for approx. 7 days.
Exfoliate brows/lips and surrounding skin on the night before your tattoo appointment to help remove dead skin cell build up.
There is no need to wax your brows prior as this will be done during the mapping stage.

LIPS: If you have ever had a coldsore before, please purchase some anti-virals to take immediately after your appointment as the trauma can activate a response.

Avoid sweating or getting your brows wet until they've flaked (approx. 7 days)
Wipe the brows with supplied aftercare wipes every hour for the first 4 hours. Please wash your hands prior - they are effectively open wounds susceptible to infection.
Apply a rice grain amount of supplied aftercare gel to the brows twice daily.
No picking, rubbing, scratching, or applying any other products until they have flakes.

Your brows will appear darker and more bold until they have flaked. Trust the process, and enjoy!

After many years in the industry, Sarah has found that a Powder Brow technique is best suited to all skin types, and will fade out more true to colour without patches unlike the previously popular Microblading technique.

Lip tattooing is fast becoming one of the most popular treatments on our menu! Our signature lip tattooing technique is very natural and with results lasting around 2-5 years, clients are asking themselves why they didn’t do it sooner! Colours are 100% customised to suit each individual at their appointment.

The benefits of lip tattooing are countless; it is a lovely way to restore colour in the lips or match your favourite lip balm! It is also great for redefining the lip border for anyone who has experienced a loss of definition due to lip fillers, ageing, smoking or scarring. The treatment is painless and healing time is less than a week!

Assessment + mapping + colour correcting

In Cosmetic Tattooing, we use different pigments to normal body tattooing to ensure the results are more soft and natural. This does mean that a refresher, or colour boost will be required at some stage. Most clients will book a return visit every 1-2 years.

Longevity of results depends on the clients skin type, medication, sun exposure, as well as the colour and density of pigment implanted. Generally you'll know when you need a touch-up but you can always send photos through for advice.

Corrections

Sarah is very experienced with corrections and as long as she is able to improve the look, she will be happy to provide a quote. In some cases, removal or lightening may have to take place, or some skin needling may have to be done to improve the texture of the skin if previous tattooing has created scar tissue. Unfortunately this is very common for clients who have been microbladed in the area several times as the slicing action is very traumatic for your skin.
